John J. Tatum

The Sound of Gospel Soul. Gospel Soul artist, Composer, Pianist. Chicago, Illinois.

John J. Tatum is a Gospel Soul composer, pianist, and artist from Chicago whose work blends faith, soul, live musicianship, and message-driven songwriting into timeless music.

Rooted in a Hebraic understanding of faith — honoring Yah as the Most High and Yahshua as the living expression of His salvation — his music carries both worship and truth.

Each song is written as a vessel for healing, reflection, and praise — where melody meets message and faith is not just spoken, but lived.

Married for 29 years to his high school sweetheart and blessed with four beautiful adult children, John’s life reflects the covenant faithfulness and generational legacy that shape both his ministry and music.

During a visit to Kenya, he and his wife were honored with a heartfelt serenade — a reminder that faith, love, and worship transcend borders and cultures.
