John J. Tatum is an artist beyond just music, his creative versatility is boundless. Singer, producer, songwriter and arranger, John J. Tatum started his music journey aged nine learning piano from his sister.
From here the artist would be introduced to Gospel and was hired by a local church, where he taught the choir, slowly developing and honing his craft.
In his teens John J. Tatum was given a scholarship to study and perform show choir and broadway tunes at the prestigious Millikin University in Decatur, IL.
In the years that followed, the artists personal and musical achievements continued to blossom and grew to even greater heights. Now a senior pastor for the last fifteen years at Building Your Faith Worship Center in Chicago Heights, IL.
John J. Tatum also has been the minister of music at countless churches in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The artist has also travelled far and wide with his music visiting places such as London, East Africa and Israel sharing the message of Christ with every performance.
Mental health is also a topic that John J. Tatum has a sincere and heavy passion for, himself being an advocate for leading the charge of removing the stigma and bring awareness.
All of the above highlights the artists inspirational ability to lead and work with people from all walks of life, using music as therapy creating a platform to engage, inspire and pull the listeners into a deeper understanding of faith.

Married to his high school sweetheart Joan, John J. Tatum is a father to four children John Tatum IV, Jeremiah, Jayla and Julia.
